Dubai uses the latest version of the surgical robot “Da Vinci” to perform surgery

The Dubai Health Authority has announced the employment of the latest version of the surgical robot “Da Vinci XI”, noting that it will be used to carry out precise surgical operations for patients.
A medical team at Dubai Hospital performed a surgery using this robot on a young man in his twenties, according to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, today, Wednesday.

The operation in which the surgical robot “Da Vinci” participated in the treatment of obstruction of the ureter and enlargement of the renal pelvis.
The agency pointed out that the operation took more than two hours, noting that the operation was successful and that the patient will leave the hospital within days.

The surgical robot has 4 arms, one of which is for imaging and 3 for participating in the stages of surgery, and it is designed to be of a high degree of flexibility that makes its movement similar to that of a human hand.
These arms are characterized by high accuracy in movement levels, which makes the process of their participation in the post-operative sutures very precise.
