The surgical team to separate the right “Siamese twins” (attached to the head), announced that one of the twins died on the second day of the successful separation operation.

The surgical team revealed that the cause of the death of one of the twins was “a severe drop in blood circulation and cardiac arrest, despite the provision of all necessary medical care to him by the treating medical team, noting that the surgical team had faced great difficulties and challenges during the process of separating the twins, which made his condition critical after the operation,” according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA.”
The surgical team explained that “the condition of the other twin is stable, and all of his vital signs are stable, and that he is still under supervision in the Intensive Care Department of King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital in King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh.”

Earlier, Saudi media announced that a Saudi medical team had succeeded in separating the Yemeni Siamese twins, Youssef and Yassin, in a complex operation that lasted 15 hours.
