EA Sports announces the change of the name of the FIFA game 30 years after its first launch

The American video game company, EA Sports, announced the official end of its partnership with the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), to change the name of the football game after more than 30 years.
And the company confirmed in an official statement on its website that “beginning in July of the year 2023, the name of the famous game will become EA Sports FC instead of FIFA.”
The next version will be produced between September and October of this year, and it will be the last that bears the name FIFA and will be called “FIFA 23”, according to the American newspaper, “The New York Times”.
The General Manager of EA Sports explained that despite the loss of the FIFA license, the series still retains the licenses of leagues, clubs and players including more than 19,000 players, more than 700 teams, more than 100 stadiums and 30 leagues.
He promised to expand on new authentic experiences that bring joy and pleasure. More details about this will be announced in the coming months.
This is in addition to obtaining the exclusive right to appear in the English, Spanish, Italian, German and American leagues and other competitions.
