Oregon romance novelist Nancy Crampton, author of How To Kill Your Husband, has admitted to accidentally shooting her husband, the Multnomah County District Attorney says.
Crumpton admitted to her cellmate that she killed her husband by mistake, and later her companion testified in court.
The first deputy attorney general said that Nancy Crampton Brophy, 71, who is accused of killing her husband, discussed the details of the shooting with an inmate who was living with her in the cell, according to the “Fox News” news site.
He reported that Crampton killed her husband, Danielle Brophy, 63, on June 2, 2018.
According to authorities, she is believed to have committed the murder due to imminent financial problems and was in need of withdrawing a $1.5 million life insurance policy.
