NASA researchers want to send drawings of naked humans into space

NASA scientists are looking forward to getting a response from the alleged aliens, by sending them some drawings of naked humans.
The plan is part of NASA’s new “Beacon in the Galaxy” project, which hopes that messages sent into space will lead to some communication on the part of aliens.
One of the things being sent is “scientific concepts, including the human form of a man and a woman,” according to CNN.
The researchers think aliens might be just as excited to see what humans look like, just as humans would be curious to see if they match their appearance in science fiction films, like green aliens with insect eyes.
The missions sent into space also include a drawing of DNA, and a representation of gravity.

The message thread will be sent in binary code, and will include some basic math and physics concepts, which can help determine the aliens’ level of communication.
The researchers explained that they chose to have their messages for space in binary code, because they are universally understood across all types of intelligence, and were encoded in the binary language of zeros and ones used in computing systems.
The “Beacon in the Galaxy” project was presented by 11 researchers from a range of institutions, including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and published this week in ArXiv, an open-access repository of scientific papers.
This isn’t the first time that nude drawings have floated in space, as the plates from the Pioneer 10 and 11 missions contain similar drawings associated with their spacecraft.
