A “strange” animal causes panic in Egypt

The pioneers of social networking sites and news pages in Egypt circulated pictures of an animal they described as “strange”, causing panic.

And “Masrawy” website, quoting a source in the Ismailia governorate, revealed that “the pictures taken of the “strange being” and widely circulated on social media pages were in the village of Abu Omar, affiliated to the Abu Suwayr Center in the Ismailia Governorate,” noting that “by examining the photos that were circulated It turns out that the animal is just a dog, but it has scabies.”

The “Masrawy” network quoted the source as saying that “the dog is in an advanced state of the disease, and it is not a strange creature as described by users on social networking sites that circulated the images,” as the source warned against “approaching this animal and touching its skin, and that the disease that it suffers from and caused In its appearance in this terrifying way for some, it is a disease that is transmitted to humans and infects them.”

The source also indicated to “Masrawy” that “urgent instructions were given to the Abu Sower Veterinary Administration to quickly intervene to examine and treat this sick dog, while working to isolate it away from citizens and children in order to preserve them and avoid transmission of infection.”
