Ibrahimovic wins the award for the best foreign athlete in Italy for 2021

Swedish soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won the 2021 Foreign Sportsman of the Year award, presented by the Foreign Press Association of Italy.
The Italian newspaper, Corriere dello Sport, described Ibrahimovic as “one of the main pillars of Italian and international football”.
The newspaper added that “courage, enthusiasm and charisma made Ibrahimovic, who is forty years old, an indispensable force for the AC Milan team.”
Alba Kepe, official of the Sports Committee of the Foreign Press Association, handed the award to the player during a ceremony held at the Hotel Parco dei Principe.
For his part, Ibrahimovic thanked the Foreign Press Association for the award.
Earlier, Ibrahimovic said that he was not a serious contender for the Ballon d’Or, because “these are political prizes, they want the ideal person, if I speak and say what I think and believe in, I cannot get those awards,” as he put it.
“It’s easy to give those awards to the nice person, but it doesn’t change anything for me, it doesn’t make me better or worse,” he added.
