Harry and Meghan visited Queen Elizabeth in Britain

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle visited his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, during a stopover in Britain on their way to The Hague, a spokesman for the couple announced.

The couple heads to the Netherlands to attend the Invictus Games, a sports game for wounded and disabled veterans founded by Prince Harry that opens this week.

A number of media reported that the couple visited the Queen at Windsor Palace, where she is currently staying, about 40 kilometers from London. The visit came a few days before Elizabeth’s 96th birthday.

This is the first time Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, have come together to Britain since their resounding withdrawal from the royal family two and a half years ago, and their move to California, where they live now.

And the newspaper “The Sun” considered that Prince Harry showed “disrespect” to Queen Elizabeth II for his absence at the end of March from the memorial funeral prayer, which was held for the comfort of the soul of his grandfather Prince Philip, who died a year ago at the age of ninety-nine.
Announcing their absence from the funeral, a spokesman for the couple said that they hope to visit the Queen soon, while in early June, celebrations will be held for the 70th anniversary of her accession to the crown.

And Prince Harry’s withdrawal from the royal family led to an automatic halt to the security protection he was enjoying, which was financed by the money of British taxpayers.

Harry suggested that the protection be at his own expense, and he challenged in court the British Home Office’s rejection of his offer.
