Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of star Will Smith, promoted recovery in an Instagram post, her first public comment since her husband slapped comedian Chris Rock at the Academy Awards last Sunday.

Jada Pinkett Smith posted on her Instagram page a picture that read, “This is a season of recovery and I’m here for it,” and followers learned through it, that she announced the start of her recovery from alopecia areata, which causes hair loss.
Jada did not mention the incident of her husband Will Smith slapping the face of comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars last Sunday after the latter made a joke on the Oscars stage, in which he bullied Jada Smith, and said he was waiting to see her in a new part of the movie G.I. Jane, which deals with the story of a woman who shaves her head after joining the US Navy, and is the film starring Demi Moore.

Will Smith had apologized to Chris Rock and wrote on his Instagram: “Chris, I would like to publicly apologize to you. What I did crossed the line and was wrong. I feel ashamed, and what I did is not indicative of the man I want to be.”
