The pioneers of social networking sites circulated this clip, expressing their anger at this behavior, as the girl explained in the video that “she went with her friend to the “Lanterns” restaurant to be surprised that her friend was prevented from entering the restaurant because she was wearing the veil,” considering that “restaurants should avoid taking such actions. The restaurant issued a clarification statement regarding this issue, in which it said: “Lanterns is a respectable family restaurant, which opened its first branch in the Kingdom of Bahrain 35 years ago, and receives all visitors from citizens and residents of different nationalities without discrimination.”
And the statement continued: “In this regard, the alternate director has been suspended from work, to investigate the issue spread across social media platforms.”
