FIFA opens the door to volunteering for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

The International Football Association “FIFA” announced today, Monday, the opening of applications for participation in the Volunteer Program for the FIFA World Cup “Qatar 2022” for 20,000 volunteers who will work in 45 fields.

FIFA stipulated that applicants must be 18 years old in October of this year, in order to be able to submit their applications through the Volunteer.fifa.com platform, provided that they are proficient in the English language, and speaking Arabic gives the applicant an additional advantage. No prior experience is required for applicants, and candidates from all backgrounds and from all parts of the world are welcome.

Volunteers will work in 45 operational aspects during the World Cup, in the official and unofficial sites of the tournament, such as stadiums, training centers, airports, fan areas, hotels and public transportation.

The World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, and some volunteer jobs will start from October 1.

It is noteworthy that the volunteers who will be selected will receive a limited-edition adidas uniform, along with a meal during the volunteer shift, in addition to free use of public transportation.

On the occasion of the launch of the largest volunteer program in the history of Qatar, a party will be held tonight at the open theater in Katara Cultural Village in Doha, at eight in the evening local time. The ceremony will witness the participation of a group of distinguished guests, including a number of football legends, who will invite potential volunteers to register for the programme, and the event will be broadcast live on FIFA’s YouTube channel.
