Turkish Foreign Ministry: Cavusoglu is visiting the UAE today to discuss strengthening relations between the two countries
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu heads to the UAE today for a two-day visit, at the invitation of his Emirati counterpart, to discuss means of relations between the two countries.
Antakya – Sputnik. And the Turkish Foreign Ministry said, in a statement, today, Sunday, that “the foreign minister will visit the United Arab Emirates on March 20 and 21, at the invitation of his Emirati counterpart.”
The statement added that “the Turkish foreign minister is expected to discuss with his Emirati counterpart bilateral relations between the two countries and regional issues.”
Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirmed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, earlier, his country’s keenness to cooperate with Turkey to confront common challenges in the Middle East through dialogue and diplomatic methods, on the sidelines of Erdogan’s first visit to the Gulf state in nearly a year. 10 years old.
The Emirates News Agency indicated that they “discussed bilateral relations and promising new prospects for cooperation and joint work between the UAE and Turkey in various fields that serve their mutual interests, in addition to all regional and international issues and developments of concern to the two countries.”
The two sides affirmed “the consensus of the two countries’ visions regarding the importance of supporting efforts and peaceful solutions aimed at enhancing security, peace and stability in the region, which constitute basic pillars of cooperation, development and progress towards the future that their peoples and countries aspire to.”
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi stressed his country’s keenness to “cooperate with Turkey to confront the multiple common challenges the region is witnessing through dialogue, understanding, consultation and diplomatic solutions.”
It is noteworthy that the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on November 24, visited Turkey, the first of its kind, after the tension that prevailed between the two countries during the past ten years.
