The Belgian authorities announced that the death toll from an accident that ran over a crowd participating in a festival in a town in the south of the country, on Sunday morning, has risen to at least 6 people.
The announcement came in statements made by Damien Verhein, Mons’ deputy attorney general, during a press conference, according to “AFP”.

The deputy public prosecutor said at least six people were killed and 26 injured when a car rammed into a crowd gathering to celebrate the carnival in the southern Belgian town of La Louviere.
He explained that investigations indicate that a car rammed into a crowd, causing six deaths and 26 injuries, including 10 people in a serious condition.
And the authorities had announced earlier today, that 4 people were killed and 12 others were seriously injured, after an accident that targeted a crowd who was participating in the festival.
The police arrested two suspects in the accident, while eyewitnesses said that a car drove dozens of people into the “Bench” carnival.
