Johnson warns China

61
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called on China to refrain from supporting Russia in its current military operation in Ukraine.
And the newspaper said in a report published yesterday, Saturday, that Johnson, in an interview with him, sent a “strong message” to China, in which he warned Beijing that “supporting the Russian attack would be tantamount to taking the wrong side during World War II.”
The British prime minister suggested that China had begun to think about its position on the events in Ukraine, calling on Beijing to “not choose the side of evil.”
Johnson said, according to the newspaper, that he had “never seen such a stark difference between good and evil,” accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of trying to “establish a new authoritarian regime in the world” and “crushing innocent civilians.”
The British Prime Minister described the Russian operation in Ukraine as “a barbaric aggression dating back to the darkest days of the Second World War.”
This comes at a time when Johnson is facing criticism within the United Kingdom against the background of a statement in which he compared the resistance of the Ukrainians during the Russian operation to the British vote in the “Brexit” referendum in favor of withdrawing from the European Union.
