Germany and Qatar agree on a long-term energy partnership

German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy Robert Habeck said, during a visit to Doha, that Germany and Qatar have agreed on a long-term partnership in the energy field.
And the German news agency quoted Habek, after his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, that “this day gives a strong impetus.”
At the same time, Habeck did not release any specific data on the parameters of cooperation.
The Department of Political Affairs reports that the German government is working on the rapid construction of two LNG receiving points, and Qatar is one of the leading countries in the LNG market. For their part, German companies will help Qatar build a renewable energy infrastructure.
