An American engineer succeeded in realizing his old dream of going to work using a flying saucer, overcoming the hassles of traffic and the consequent waste of time and effort.
The “abs-cbn” website said that Stephen Tibbets is an American aeronautical engineer, as well as the co-founder and CEO of Ziva Aero, a startup based in Tacoma, Washington state, USA.
The company “Zeva Aero” produced its own vehicle in the form of a vertical flying saucer, and it achieved success in full vertical take-off, and Tibbets described his new flying saucer as an “octocopter”, referring to the four engines installed on top of the dish, along with four other engines installed below it.
Critical milestone reached! Sunday marked the first untethered flight test for our full-scale #eVTOL aircraft — and this is just the beginning. More on #ZEVAfirstflight: https://t.co/R0UOwaxRoX#avgeek #UAM #advancedairmobility #flyingcar #VTOL #airtaxi #aviation #avgeeks pic.twitter.com/GZ4tA5WCR8

The new battery-powered flying saucer, called the Ziva Zero, is expected to undergo further flight tests before being approved for commercial use.
Tibbets explained that the clients his company is currently targeting are paramedics who need to reach the scene of an accident to treat the victims in the shortest possible time.
Tibbets revealed that the US Department of Defense “Pentagon” had expressed an interest in the invention. A number of wealthy people also contacted the company, expressing their desire to fly by “Ziva Zero” from their lakeside homes to the city, or take off on board their yachts.
The company aspires for every American to own its own flying vehicle, and the UFO is likely to cost about $250,000, which means it will be too expensive for most customers at the moment.
