Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with the American channel “ABC” (ABC) that he has lost interest in the issue of his country’s accession to NATO.
Zelensky was asked, during an interview with the American channel ABC, about his position on the conditions put forward by Moscow to end the Russian military operation in Ukraine, including Ukraine’s refusal to try to join NATO.
“As for NATO, I lost interest in this issue a long time ago after we realized that NATO is not ready to accept Ukraine. The alliance is afraid of contradictions and confrontation with Russia,” Zelensky said.
He stressed that Ukraine would not “kneel on its knees” to NATO for anything.
Zelensky also stressed that Western countries are responsible for the deaths in Ukraine, which refuses to close the airspace and provide planes.
According to him, “the blame for the deaths of people in Ukraine lies with Russia, and the responsibility, including on Western countries, is.”
Earlier, he said that he was ready to discuss issues of recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, and Donetsk and Lugansk as independent republics.
