Teenager Zen Stupendek can’t see colors very well, and he stayed that way until his friends surprised him with a special birthday gift, which made him so happy.
The beginning of discovering Zain’s color blindness was just a discussion with his friends about the color of a spot on his socks, which ended with discovering that he had this disease, which made him lose a lot of happiness.
But friends decided to make him happy when they bought him “In Chroma” glasses, which help people who suffer from color blindness to see colors.
“I know the bricks are red, but I didn’t know how true that was,” says Zain. “I know the trees are green, but I see them as grey.”
As soon as he put on the glasses for the first time, his body was trembling, as it was the first time he had seen things in their true colors.
The glasses Zayn owns are for outdoor use, but the company will send him indoor glasses for free, and they’ve also made him a brand ambassador.
Blue skies, green spaces, and other colorful things have become a regular occurrence in our lives, but they are a blessing that many miss.
