Samsung is subjected to a massive hacking operation by a foreign entity and the leakage of confidential data to it
Today, Saturday, reports revealed that the South Korean “Samsung” electronics company was exposed to a huge penetration by a foreign entity.
A foreign hacking company hacked Samsung, which breached its secret source code and other confidential data, according to the Korean “Yonhap” agency.
She added that the data extortion company “Lapsos” claims to have hacked the system of the “South Korean technology giant”, and leaked up to 190 gigabytes of its data and source code (Source Code) over the Internet.
Also, Yonhap reported, citing Labsos, that it had downloaded the leaked data for downloading via a torrent program.
For their part, Samsung officials said they are now assessing the situation.
Recently, reports accused Samsung of deliberately throttling the performance of thousands of known smart applications in order to preserve the life of the batteries of its Galaxy phones.
On Friday, Samsung issued a statement confirming that it would address the issue by providing an update to its users.
