Putin assures Erdogan of Moscow’s readiness for dialogue with Ukraine and the West to resolve the conflict
The Turkish presidency stated, in a statement, that “Erdogan and Putin discussed, during a phone call, the Russian military operation in Ukraine and relations between the two countries,” adding that “During his call, Erdogan stressed the importance of taking immediate steps towards achieving a ceasefire, opening humanitarian corridors and signing a peace agreement.”
Erdogan stressed, “Turkey’s readiness to contribute to a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis,” stressing that “the ceasefire will provide an opportunity to search for political solutions to the Ukrainian crisis.”
Erdogan noted that he would “continue efforts to conduct comprehensive negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and reach results.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the goal of the special military operation in Ukraine is to protect people who have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime, eight years ago.
The operation aims to prevent the militarization of Ukraine and the Nazi tendencies in it, and to bring to justice all those responsible for the bloody crimes against civilians in Donbass.
