The Italian University of Bicoca announced the cancellation of one of its curricula for the giant of Russian literature, Fyodor Dostoevsky, as part of the Western sanctions policy against Russia in conjunction with the Russian operation in Ukraine.
For his part, Italian Professor Paolo Nouri condemned the university’s decision, describing it as the poisonous fruit of the “abolition of culture” policy pursued by the left, which is currently prevailing under the slogans of good.

The Italian newspaper indicated that Professor Nouri had received, on Tuesday night, an email from Bicocca University in Milan, saying: “Dear Professor, the Vice-Rector of the University informed me this morning of the decision taken by the university’s president to suspend the teaching of Dostoevsky’s literature curriculum.”

“The aim is to avoid any form of controversy within Italy because it is a moment of great tension,” added the message, which Professor Nouri reviewed on Instagram.
The professor explained that he was scheduled to start teaching a syllabus on the novels of the Russian author, starting next Wednesday.
Nouri continued: “I follow what is happening in Ukraine and I feel like crying just thinking about it, but what is happening in Italy is a funny thing, censoring a school curriculum is ridiculous.”
He added, “Currently Italy considers not only the presence of living Russians on its lands a sin, but the dead Russians as well. After Dostoevsky was sentenced to death in 1849 because he read something forbidden at the time, an Italian university comes to ban a curriculum for an author like Dostoevsky, it is something I do not believe.” .
It is noteworthy that NATO countries are adopting a policy of sanctions in various fields towards Russia in conjunction with the continuation of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
