Russian opera star Anna Netrebko plans to hold concerts in Russia in the second half of this year, including at the Bolshoi Theatre.

This was stated by the official spokesman of Anna Netrebko in Russia, Maxim Perin, on March 2, to the Russian “TASS” news agency. He said that concerts are planned to be held at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow and in other theaters.

It is noteworthy that the management of the German “Bayern Opera” theater had announced earlier that it was suspending cooperation with the Russian singer, Anna Netrebko, against the background of the recent developments in Ukraine. As for the “La Scala” theater, it was announced on March 1 that Netrebko will not participate in the opera “Adriana Lecofrière”, which is scheduled to be shown this March.

While a Netrebko spokesperson said that the suspension of its performances was achieved on the initiative of the singer herself, who declared that now was not the right time for performance and music. While the singer criticized attempts by some to prevent artists from expressing their opinions.
