Reports revealed that the Instagram photo and video application increased the minimum set daily time to 30 minutes, instead of 10 or 15 minutes.
An Instagram user said that the application asked him to “set a new value” for the daily time limit, as part of the application update, explaining that “Instagram” asked him to set a time limit of at least 30 minutes, according to the “TechCrunch” website.
Screenshots sent by the user show that he had previously set a 10-minute daily limit to stay within “Instagram”, but a pop-up window appeared at the top of the screen prompting him to set a new daily limit value (30 minutes), although it indicates That the user can keep his current limit if he so desires.

According to the user, he was only able to choose a new time limit by forcibly closing the app.

The company “Meta” (formerly Facebook) did not issue a clarification statement regarding the reason for changing the time limit for staying within the “Instagram” application.
Instagram had introduced the option to set daily time limits for it in 2018, and company representatives said at the time that they wanted users to spend time on the app well.
The time-limiting features were introduced in response to criticism that tech companies have received about the impact their products have on users’ well-being.
