Authorities in the US city of Minneapolis released a video clip showing the police shooting of a 22-year-old African-American youth.
According to the police, the young man, Amir Lok, was shot by officers who were executing a search warrant in the apartment he was in, after he pulled a pistol in their face.

The video showed that the total time between the officers entering and firing the bullets was less than ten seconds.

The local newspaper, The Star Tribune, said that Locke was not named in the search warrant, but was linked to a suspect in the murder investigation.

Lawyers for the Locke family said in a statement that their client has a “legal” gun and no previous criminal record, and they are calling for justice for their client.

The family hired attorney Ben Crump, who has represented many African victims of police violence, including George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

It is reported that in May 2020, George Floyd was killed by the Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin.

Two months ago, Briona Taylor was killed after police entered her home just after midnight.
