An American lawmaker criticizes the suspension of Goldberg’s program because of her statement about the “Holocaust”
Democratic Representative in the US Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, criticized the decision to stop actress Whoopi Goldberg from hosting “The View”, in response to her statements about the Holocaust.
Cortez considered the decision to stop Goldberg from presenting “The View” as “unnecessary,” noting that Goldberg has a “good record with the Jewish people.”
And actress Whoopi Goldberg had said, that the Nazi Holocaust during World War II (the Holocaust) did not occur on an ethnic basis, considering that it was related to the lack of humanity among men.
In response to these statements, the American “ABC News” network decided to stop Goldberg, from presenting the “The View” program for two weeks.
Kim Goodwin, president of the network, said the decision is now in effect, adding: “I will suspend Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks due to her false and harmful comments.”
The Democratic congresswoman added that Goldberg sincerely apologized and learned her lesson, and the decision to suspend her from the program is not necessary, and we must “move forward.”
