A circulating video clip of a young woman hanging by her hair inside a train while the rest of the passengers are sitting on chairs has puzzled social media users.
The video showed a girl swinging with her hair tied to a metal rod installed inside the carriages of the train, and intended for standing passengers to catch it and not fall, and she was immersed in watching her phone, her legs intertwined in the air.
According to the newspaper “Daily Mail”, the girl is a Russian acrobat named Darina, and the video was filmed on January 21 inside a train in Shanghai, China.
As a result, the young woman received a call from Shanghai metro officials, asking her what she was doing and why she was hanging from her hair.
“I’ve been doing this movement for half a year now,” said Darina. “I want to remind everyone that it was a dangerous trick and shouldn’t be tried.”
And she shared the clip via the “Tik Tok” application, the Chinese version after she practiced the dangerous movement for more than half a year. She also posted similar clips of her training process, but she never imagined that she would get all the attention she’s been getting recently.
Darina has been working as a circus acrobat since 2013, and she invited people to watch her show and explained that her hair is tied into a hair hanging ring, and the weight of the person is distributed evenly on the scalp.
Each hair is capable of holding a weight of up to 3.5 ounces (100 grams) and must be arranged properly to prevent accidents or injuries.
Performers often condition their hair up to 5 times a day and use hair vitamins in an effort to protect it and keep it strong.
This action can cause neck and shoulder pain, as well as headaches.
