The Egyptian actress, Mona Zaki, responded to the uproar caused by her latest movie, “Ashab Wal Aziz”, which began showing last week on the “Netflix” digital platform.
And Mona Zaki published, through the “Stories” feature on her personal account on “Instagram” for social networking, a response from one of the users of the “Facebook” social networking site, which defended in her publication about the film, and confirmed, “If all the insulting media professionals in Mona Zaki were invited to meet with a journalist Or they called her to take statements from her. They will change their minds, and say that the movie is beautiful and that her performance in it was great, and that they just want her to respond to malicious opinions.”
On her part, Mona Zaki expressed her great admiration for the publication and thanked its owner for her opinion.
The movie “Ashab Wal Aziz” sparked a great deal of controversy on social networking sites, because of its inappropriate phrases and scenes that were inappropriate for Mona Zaki.
And the matter developed into a member of the Egyptian House of Representatives, Mahmoud Qassem, submitting an urgent statement to the Speaker of Parliament, Counselor Hanafi El-Gabali, to direct him to the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Enas Abdel Dayem, regarding the content of the movie “Ashab Wal Aziz”, in which he claims that he promotes homosexuality, and he What goes against Egyptian values.
The film “Ashab Wal Aziz bears witness to the first technical cooperation between Mona Zaki and the “Netflix” digital network, and co-starring Jordanian artist, Iyad Nassar, and Lebanese director, Nadine Labaki, and it is an Arabic version of the Italian film “Complete Strangers”.
