After banning tattoos on athletes, China bans television from showing beautified men

The Washington Times newspaper said that last September, the Chinese authorities took a decision banning on television showing the man wearing makeup. Now this decision is in effect.
And the authorities justified this, that this image does not correspond to the traditional understanding of the beauty of men.
In addition, the authorities imposed on television channels, the creation and establishment of a standard of male beauty consistent with the moral principles of the population of China. As well as prevents from appearing on television, anyone who was caught violating morals and public order. Instead, television should educate its citizens in the spirit of socialism and instill in them a love of traditional culture.

To prevent young Chinese from rushing to “stardom”, the authorities have ordered artists’ salaries to be cut and strict control over taxes. Children of famous artists are no longer allowed to participate in TV shows.

The ban also included programs that display extravagance and excessive luxury and encourage citizens to overspend.

And the sports authorities in China prevented the national team players from drawing new tattoos on their bodies.

In an official statement, the Chinese Sports Authority said: “It is strictly forbidden for players of the national team and youth team under the age of 23 to get a new tattoo, and those who already have tattoos are advised to remove it.
