Adele’s latest album becomes Britain’s best-selling album in 2021

British singer Adele’s latest album, “30”, became the best-selling album of the year 2021 in the United Kingdom, just 6 weeks after it went on sale.
The album sold more than 600,000 copies, and 80% of those sales were in the form of CDs and vinyl discs, which is a victory over digital broadcasting that has spread in recent years, according to the Billboard music website.
However, the latter number came well below the 800,000 copies sold of Adele’s previous album “25”, which he achieved in just its first week.
Analysts explain that the reason behind the discrepancy in the sales prices of Adele’s current and previous albums is the current dominance of singles in the music industry, thanks to digital broadcasting, which now accounts for 83 percent of consumption.
In her new album, “30”, Adele recounts the experience of her divorce, and talks through his songs with her son, Angelo (9 years), to explain to him the circumstances of her separation from his father.
Because of the “30” album, Adele forced the Spotify songs app to delete an important feature, which is the “Shuffle” button that allows random switching from one song to another.
