After a picture of her solidarity with the Palestinians… Emma Watson becomes in the eyes of an Israeli official an “anti-Semitic”
Actress Emma Watson has been accused of anti-Semitism by Israel’s former ambassador to the United Nations after she posted a photo on Instagram in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
Israeli official Danny Danon retweeted Watson’s message and said, “10 Gryffindor points for being an anti-Semite.”

Danon’s comments were criticized by Conservative counterpart Baroness Warsi, who said: “Showing solidarity with the Palestinians is not anti-Semitic.”
The current Israeli ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, had also criticized the participation of the Harry Potter actress on social media, and tweeted: “The novel may succeed in Harry Potter, but it does not work in reality,” adding, “If it succeeds, the magic used in the world of Witches can eliminate the evils of Hamas (which oppresses women and seeks to annihilate Israel) and the Palestinian Authority (which supports terrorism), and I will support that!”
Harry Potter star Emma Watson posted a message of solidarity with the Palestinians on her Instagram account.
The message posted by Watson shows the phrase “Solidarity is an Verb”, alongside the Palestinian flag, on a photo of protesters taken at the Free Palestine March.
