Shoigu fulfills a Russian boy’s wish to fly in a military helicopter

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu granted the wish of a boy, Kirill Ushakov, from the Russian province of Vladimir, who expressed his desire to fly aboard a military helicopter.

This is part of the “Wishing Tree” campaign, which was launched in Russia on November 15.
The commander of the command center of the Russian defenses, Mikhail Mezintsev, at the meeting of the commands of the Ministry of Defense informed Sergei Shoigu that the boy’s desire, Kirill Ushakov, had been fulfilled and he was ready to talk with the Minister of Defense about his impressions of the first flight in his life on a military helicopter.

The pilots of the aircraft squadron of the Western Military District of the Russian Army helped the boy to fulfill his wish at a military airport in the Vladimir region from where the military helicopter with Kirill Ushakov took off.

Sergei Shoigu congratulated the boy on New Year’s Day. As for Kirill, he informed the Minister of Defense that he had flown the helicopter, then saw the types of warplanes stationed at the airport, and ate the pilots’ meals. He also asked the Minister of Defense to make another flight on a military plane.

It is noteworthy that the “Wishing Tree” campaign was launched on November 15, where orphans, children who are left without parental care, those who live in families with incomes below the subsistence level, those with life-threatening health conditions, and adults over the age of 60 can all participate in the campaign. As the project “Russia is the country of opportunity”.
