Klopp mocks himself after losing to Leicester City

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp mocked himself after Tuesday’s loss to Leicester City, in the 20th round of the English Premier League.

Liverpool missed a large number of opportunities during the meeting, and its star Mohamed Salah missed a penalty kick in the first half, leaving the Reds away from leaders Manchester City by 6 points.

Leicester City won the match despite losing to Manchester City 6-3 in the Boxing Day round last Sunday, and he did not have much time to rest and recover.

On the other hand, Liverpool did not play its match, which was scheduled for last Sunday against Leeds United, as it was postponed as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus among the players of the opposing team.

And Klopp mocked himself, in comments published by the English “Liverpool Echo” network: “One of the people (meaning himself) who constantly talks about that you should not play on 26 and 28, and only play on 28, and lose against a team that played on 26 and 28, it is Funny story, I know it.”
“Of course, they deserved to win, it was a very strange match,” Klopp told Amazon Prime.

He continued, “We were not good enough, we had enough chances, and what we did when we had the ball was not right. We played a very bad match, so the loss was deserved.”

He added: “Our decision-making (weak), maybe we lost a little luck, that’s how it is. We should have had more of those moments.”

On the widening difference with Manchester City, Klopp said: “It is a big gap, at this moment it is not my problem, if we play the usual football, Liverpool football, we will have a chance to win more games.”
