Media publishes a picture of the youngest smoker in the world after years

Several media outlets published pictures of the child known as the “smallest smoker” in the world, and explained how he looks now and his daily life.

According to the newspaper, “Daily Star”, it has become difficult to know what the child, who smoked 40 cigarettes a day, when he was two years old, looks like, after years of giving up this harmful habit.

Ardi Rizal, a child from Sumatra, Indonesia, used to horribly bang his head against a wall when deprived of smoke, but he has since kicked the harmful habit.

This boy made global headlines a decade ago, but after a difficult “exhausting and amazing” process, Ardi is far from chaos and looking for the best for him.

Treating smoking addiction required extensive specialist care from the government, as his mother, Diana, feared that her child, Ardi, would infect himself, when he could not get a dose of nicotine.

“It was hard for me to stop smoking,” Ardi told CNN in 2017. “If I wasn’t smoking, my mouth would sting and my head would feel dizzy.”

But despite the difficulty of breaking the habit, Ardi succeeded in quitting smoking and losing weight by changing his unhealthy diet, replacing it with fruits, vegetables and fish.

“I am happy now,” Ardi added. “I feel more motivated and my body feels refreshed.”

Ardi became a smoker at 18 months old when his father handed him a cigar, and the boy became addicted.

Concerned about “how” Ardy might hurt himself if he couldn’t get a dose of nicotine, his mother, Diana, sought help from a government specialist in the intensive care unit.
Diana told the Daily Mail in 2013: “When Ardi first quit smoking he was asking for a lot of toys.

She added, “He would start hitting his head against the wall. He was crazy, hurting himself if he didn’t smoke a cigarette… Now I don’t give him cigarettes, but he eats a lot.”

According to the newspaper, since the habit of smoking has become in the past, Ardi replaced one addiction with another, as he developed a love for fast food, which prompted his parents to hire a nutritionist.
