Poll: More than 72 % of Belarusians trust Lukashenko

Sergey Mosenko, director of the EcooM Center for Social Studies, said that the results of a public opinion poll in Belarus showed that more than 72% of the population trusted President Alexander Lukashenko.

According to the results of this sociological study, 72.3% of the citizens expressed their confidence in President Lukashenko as a whole. This indicator consists of the results of “yes, I trust the president” (45.9%) and “mostly I trust him” (26.4%).

The results show that 6.8% of those surveyed said that they “rather do not trust” the head of state, and 7.5% assert that they do not trust the President of Belarus.
It is noteworthy that 10,217 citizens participated in this social survey, which was conducted within the framework of social support for the Republican referendum from November 15 to December 4, 2021.

This sociological study covered the capital, Minsk and all regions of Belarus, and involved workers from nearly 350 organizations and institutions of various fields and forms of ownership.

The poll also showed that 36.6% of the participants plan to participate in the upcoming referendum on constitutional amendments next February. 26.8% of respondents answered that they are most likely to participate, and 23.9% said they would not or “probably not” participate in the referendum.
