Barcelona issues a statement on Aguero

Barcelona issued a statement today, Tuesday, regarding its Argentine striker, Sergio Aguero.

Barcelona said in a statement: “Aguero will speak at a press conference about his future from the Camp Nou, tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 noon CET, and President Joan Laporta will be with him.”

Yesterday, Monday, a Spanish journalist on Radio Marca said that Barcelona will organize a party for Aguero, tomorrow, in which the Argentine striker announces his retirement from football.

The “El Chiringuito” program said that Aguero had already made the decision last week, after it was confirmed that he suffered from ventricular arrhythmia, which prevents him from playing football again.
The Spanish program indicated that the news of Aguero’s retirement caused an uproar in Argentina, on Monday, because the Barcelona striker is very popular in his country.

Aguero moved to Barcelona last summer during a free deal, after the expiration of his contract with Manchester City.

Aguero has participated in five matches in all competitions so far with Barcelona and scored one goal in the derby against Real Madrid, after he started the season with a calf injury.
