The pioneers of social networking sites launched a hashtag entitled “Boycott Doctor Food”, in solidarity with a cake seller in the Lebanese city of Tripoli who was bullied by “Doctor Food”.

“Social influencer” George Deeb posted a video on his Instagram page, in which he appeared buying a cake from a street vendor in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon, before objecting to the lack of enough cheese in the cake, describing the seller as a “stingy”.

As a result, a “hashtag” was issued on Twitter calling for a boycott of “Doctor Food”, the name George Depp gives to his account, in which he publishes videos in which he tastes foods in different places.
This video angered many activists and journalists, who expressed their rejection of the “insult” and “bullying” that the cake seller was subjected to by videographer George, stressing their solidarity with him.

While some saw that the cake seller was struggling to secure his livelihood and should be supported rather than insulted, others urged citizens to buy cakes from him extensively in response to what he was exposed to at the hands of the content maker “Doctor Food”, and called for a boycott of the latter’s accounts on the communication sites.

For her part, the Lebanese media, Dima Sadek, expressed her rejection of the video and her solidarity with the cake seller. In a tweet, she called for a boycott of the “doctor food” page.
