The President of Belarus threatens to cut off gas supplies to the European Union in response to any sanctions against his country

Today, Monday, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko warned the European Union that at a certain stage it would resort to stopping gas revenues to Europe.
In an interview with Turkish media, the Belarusian president said, “If the sanctions that they have imposed or will impose will make us in a state of emergency, and we have no way out to respond with other measures to their sanctions, we will use this strict measure as well.”

This is not the first time that the Belarusian president has waved a gas card in the face of the European Union against the backdrop of the sanctions imposed against his country, as well as against the backdrop of the migrant crisis at the border between Belarus and the European Union.
