A manager surprises 900 employees with dismissal during a conference call, to everyone’s astonishment

The CEO of an American mortgage company dismissed about 900 employees, which is equivalent to 15 percent of his company’s workers, during a conference call via the “Zoom” application.
The decision of Vishal Garg, CEO of “Peter” company, caused a lot of astonishment among employees and widespread criticism, especially because it comes just before the holiday season.
Forbes said he accused employees of “stealing” from colleagues and clients because “their productivity is low and they only work two hours a day.”

Garg can be heard on the call telling the employees that he came to them with a decision that is not good but that he had to in order for the company to survive a time when the market changes, only to surprise them that they are all from the unlucky group being laid off, and their immediate termination.
“This is the second time in my career that I’ve done this, the first time I cried, but this time I’m stronger,” the manager said.
In the video, a female employee is heard saying, “Oh my God, this is unbelievable. This can’t happen.”
