The longest eclipse in 5 centuries… How do you get a picture of the longest partial lunar eclipse

The world witnesses the longest partial lunar eclipse of the century between Thursday (November 18) and Friday (November 19).

It is classified as the longest partial lunar eclipse since the fifteenth century, according to a statement by “Roskosmos”.

It is noted that this eclipse will become “almost complete”, as the moon will fall almost completely in the shadow of the Earth, so the disk of the celestial body will turn red.

The eclipse will last three hours and 28 minutes. The moon will also pass in its maximum phase when it is located in the western part of the constellation Taurus, near the Pleiades star group.

On the possibility of filming this scene, Guardian Australia photo editor Carly Earl described it as difficult, for two reasons.

The first reason is that the moon is far away and if a special lens is not used, the moon will appear as a glowing point, and the second reason is due to the difficulty of photographing at night, which requires the use of special lenses.

Regarding the possibility of taking pictures with a smartphone camera, Earl said that this is possible by downloading special applications that allow photography in low light.

In order to take an amazing picture of the moon, you need a zoom lens or a zoom lens – the higher the better. In addition to a professional camera and tripod, also use the cable release or a two-second delay timer to release the shutter. This prevents camera shake when the button is pressed. It allows you not only to increase the size of the moon in the frame but also to get every detail within it while keeping the image as sharp as possible.

Your settings will change based on the quality of the camera you are using. But you want to set the ISO to 100, which keeps the image quality at its highest. Set File Size to Raw – This allows for the largest file size the camera has. The aperture is not as important when photographing the moon, so go for f8.

Also, adjustments are required in the settings to obtain clearer accuracy.
