American sports fans are shocked by a violent incident at a girls’ basketball game, in which a player is seen violently hitting another on the opposing team and causing her to suffer a concussion.
The accident occurred in Southern California, where the girl delivered the powerful blow without warning.
The mother was heard screaming at her daughter, “Go and hit her”, before the blow, which took the girl to hospital.
The violent girl’s father, it turns out, is a former NBA player, Cory Benjamin, who previously played for Chicago.

Benjamin, 43, publicly apologized for his daughter’s actions, writing: “As a father, I am shocked and frustrated with my daughter’s behavior, which does not reflect the values we instilled in her at home as a family, and it certainly does not reflect the values, character and sportsmanship required in the game of basketball.” .
He added: “The girl who was hit by my daughter, I apologize to you with all my heart, and I pray that she will not be harmed physically or morally. To her family – I apologize and sorry for what happened, she did not deserve such a thing. I also apologize to everyone who was harmed by the video and the behavior of my daughter and the behavior of her mother.”
The girl who was punched suffered a concussion, injured her chin and neck, and had not been to school for several days.
