An asteroid three times the size of a football field is hurtling towards Earth

The asteroid, about the size of the Eiffel Tower, will approach our planet in December.

According to the Daily Record, citing data from NASA, the asteroid is a space body called 4660 Nereus, 330 meters long.

The article explained that “4660 Nereus, which is nearly three times the size of a football field, is classified as a potentially dangerous asteroid.”

Nereus will approach Earth on December 11, and the asteroid should fly over our planet at a distance of 3.9 million kilometers (about 10 times the distance between Earth and the Moon).
