38

The matches between AC Milan and Porto of Portugal, and Liverpool of England and Atletico Madrid of Spain, witnessed dangerous games, the champions of which were Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic and French Antoine Griezmann.

The first meeting witnessed a violent intervention by the Swede on Sanchel Mangolo, Porto defender, in the 87th minute, as he raised his leg in a dangerous way to hit the defender in the face.

The German referee, Felix Brych, only showed the yellow card to the players’ astonishment.

This did not help the French Griezmann, who was subjected to a red card in the meeting between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, after a dangerous game in which the Brazilian Firmino was the victim, as the Brazilian was injured in the face, which called on the referee to announce the red card.
