You can throw your mobile phone as you like…Scientists have developed “self-healing” screens

Many people suffer from frequent breakage of the screens of their mobile phones, which sometimes causes great material losses, especially if the phone is of high-end luxury.

Most phone holders currently use protection screens to secure a thick layer that protects the original screen, but the impact associated with “bad luck”, may make the effectiveness non-existent, and bad luck nowadays “there is nothing wrong.”
But scientists confirm that in the near future, when your mobile phone falls, “it will not fall before you with it”, because they have developed “self-healing” screens through which you can throw your device as you wish.

Nanotechnology for curable screens

Researchers from Concordia University have worked to develop a unique self-healing mechanism with the aim of protecting screens from breaking, as their research could revolutionize the world of mobile device manufacturing.

The lead file for the study, Dr. Twinkal Patel, says in the research paper titled “Cureable and Reprocessable Electrode Nanogenerators Fabricated with Polyglass (Hedpe Urea) Networks” published in the “ACS Nano” journal of nanoscience, that “one of the main difficulties in this The types of projects are to maintain a balance between mechanical properties and self-repairing properties.”

The researcher continues, “Our goal is not to compromise the durability of the mesh while enhancing the dynamic ability to self-heal damage and scrapes. We focus on achieving full scratch recovery at room temperature only. This feature sets our research apart from others.”
Self-polymer grids

The team created self-healing polymer networks using very simple synthetic methods. The developed materials showed excellent results at room temperature, according to the article published in the journal Phys.

“These materials can quickly repair damage and cracks due to their self-healing mechanism,” says Puthana Gandhi Nilipali, co-author of the paper.

As a result, these materials save consumers time and money while extending the life of the materials used and reducing the environmental burden.
