Messi attacks the referee of the Argentina-Peru match

The French star of Paris Saint-Germain, Argentine Lionel Messi, criticized the referee of the match, who refereed his country’s match against Peru in the 12th round of the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The match, which ended with the victory of the Argentine national team, did not satisfy the Brazilian referee, Wilton Sampaio, who directed him from the criticism of the Argentine star.

Messi published a picture on his personal page on “Instagram”, in which he said: “It was a difficult match, with strong winds, and few spaces on the field. The referee does the same thing when he appears in our matches, and it seems that he does it on purpose.. 3 important points bring us closer to our goal.”

The referee canceled two goals for Argentina, the first scored by Christian Romero, and canceled for offside in the 80th minute of the match, and canceled another goal scored by Guido Rodriguez two minutes before the end for offside as well.

The Argentine national team is second in the overall standings of the South American qualifiers, and is 6 points behind the leaders Brazil with 31 points, while the Peruvian team is in ninth place (penultimate), with 11 points from 12 matches.
