A crocodile uses his wits to free himself from the deadly grip of an anaconda

An American photographer spotted a rare battle that some people may encounter only once in their life, as it lasted for 40 minutes between a giant crocodile and an anaconda, for survival.

The British newspaper, “Sun”, reported that the video was taken last September, during a boat trip by an American photographer named Kim Sullivan in a river in Brazil.

The video shows the anaconda wrapping around the crocodile, paralyzing some of its legs.

The photographer says that during the struggle, the crocodile was trying to free itself from the deadly grip in vain, as it was gasping to breathe some air, while the anaconda was increasing its grip more and more.

She added that over time, the scales began to tilt toward the victory of the anaconda.

But in an instant, the scene changed after the crocodile resorted to a new plan, when he decided to go under the water, and then rise again, causing the anaconda to search for air.

A little later, the crocodile appeared on the surface of the water, but this time it was alone, and then we watched the anaconda escape from death by drowning to the river bank, where it quickly returned to the hole from which it came.

According to the video, the battle ended in a draw, with no one winning.
