A 16-year-old Filipina girl is experiencing a rare condition after her features have changed and look like a 50-year-old woman.

And the website “gma network” reported that the girl named Rizel Calago experienced these changes in just two years, due to a rare genetic disorder that caused her to age quickly.

On an episode of “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” Raizel Calago said that she started joining beauty pageants when she was 14 because of her mature appearance.

Unfortunately, she added, her face, neck, arms and stomach began to wrinkle just days after she developed a rash on her body.

“It’s like a bitter melon peel because it’s really wrinkled,” Rizel said, noting that she had itchy red spots that were painful to touch.

The girl reported that she once went for a medical examination and was told that she got the case from an insect, she was given medication but it had no effect.

Aside from the physical changes, Rizel said she also suffers from back pain.

Because of these changes, Rizel reports, people have said she looks 50, and some people often think her mother, Joyla, 36, is younger than her.

“It hurts when they tell me that my daughter looks older than me,” Joella said. “Sometimes I imagine her growing up and seeing how beautiful she can be.”

In addition, the “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” team brought Raizel to endocrinologist Dr. James Young, whose initial diagnosis was premature aging.

“We only have about 200 documented cases around the world,” Young said. The most prominent manifestation is wrinkling or aging of the skin and stunted growth.
