The long-time participant of the Great Patriotic War wins the “Voice 60 +” music contest

The 97-year-old veteran Mikhail Serebryakov won the fourth season of the “Voice 60+” music competition held by the First Russian TV Channel.

 

This was stated on Monday, October 4, by a spokesman for the First Russian TV Channel.

The spokesman said that Serebryakov’s performance won 79.5 percent of the audience’s votes. In the final round of the “Voice 60+” TV project, the retired retiree performed the song “My Love” by the Russian composer, Mtvi Blanter and the poet Yevgeny Dolmatovsky, as well as the Russian song “Dushichka”, known for its performance by the star of the 20th century Russian opera, Sergey Lemishev.

And Mikhail Serebryakov said in an interview with Channel One that he intends to continue singing. The winner of the competition received one million rubles (equivalent to about 14 thousand dollars) and was granted a license to record a single.

It is reported that “Sound 60+” is the TV show in which professional musicians and Russian music lovers race. The singers’ troupes were supervised by the stars of the Russian musical stage, pop and rock music, Valery Leontiev, Stas Namin, Laima Vaikule, Oleg Gazmanov.

And Mikhail Serebryakov was a member of the team of singer-songwriter Oleg Gazmanov, known for composing the songs “Sailors”, “Moscow”, “Cossack Prince”, “Officers” and others. As for the presentation of the program, it was handled by the artist Dmitry Nagiyev.
