Saudi Arabia opens second largest pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Saudi Arabia inaugurated the second largest pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, with a total area of ​​13,059 square meters, under the slogan “An inspiring Saudi vision for a shared future.”

Yesterday, Friday, the Advisor at the Saudi Royal Court, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Kingdom’s Pavilion participating in “Expo 2020 Dubai”, Muhammad bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri, officially inaugurated the works and activities of the Saudi pavilion, in a ceremony held at the pavilion’s headquarters, in the presence of the Kingdom’s ambassador to the UAE, Turki bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil, and the Commissioner-General of the Saudi pavilion, Eng. Hussein Hanbaza, and a group of ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, officials and cultural figures from different countries of the world.
The Saudi pavilion, through its various programs and activities, reflects the vivid image of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is divided into four main pillars that include nature, people, heritage and investment opportunities, as well as an energy and sustainability plant, and a brilliant presence of traditional Saudi crafts, folkloric performances, and famous dishes that represent the various regions of the Kingdom.

Al-Tuwaijri expressed his pride in the rich creative content he saw in the pavilion, presented by the young men and women of the country participating in the pavilion, who conveyed an honorable image of the people of the Kingdom and their high and welcoming values ​​to the world.

He added: “The pavilion translates the Kingdom’s growth and prosperity during the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense – may God protect them – and our country is preparing In this global forum, with its young, renewed spirit and aspiration towards a prosperous future for the region and the world, with its ambitious projects and inspiring vision, the Saudi Vision 2030, which was formulated by His Highness the Crown Prince, to take our country towards broad development horizons.

The pavilion’s activity will continue until March of next year 2022, as part of the activities of the new edition of “Expo 2020 Dubai”, entitled “Connecting Minds…Making the Future”, in which more than 190 countries are participating.

According to Expo 2020, the pavilion’s design is innovative and holds the Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certificate.

The Saudi pavilion celebrates creative visions through an artwork entitled “Vision”, which takes visitors on an audio-visual journey through 23 sites that represent the great diversity in the various regions of the Kingdom, and the harmonious relationship between its people and nature. Discovery”, and in the welcome garden dedicated to meetings and constructive dialogues between entrepreneurs and investors, in an atmosphere rich with the values ​​of the famous Saudi hospitality.

The pavilion presents a busy daily program for its visitors that includes distinctive cultural elements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia highlighting the rich national heritage through traditional arts, folkloric dances, handicrafts and masterpieces of Saudi cuisine, in addition to great creative performances presented by the pavilion at its headquarters and in several parallel sites such as the Dubai Millennium Theater and the Dubai Exhibition Center It includes dazzling light shows, music and poetry evenings and cultural salons, in addition to sustainable energy activities, scientific programs and competitions for families and children.

The Kingdom’s program over the next six months will also include active participation in all dialogues and forums held on the sidelines of the Expo, which will chart a better future for the world, with the participation of the Saudi private sector in addition to all relevant state institutions.
