Brazilian football legend Pele sent a message to his fans from the sports hall of the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo.
Pele posted a video on his Instagram account, showing him exercising on a bicycle, while two medical staff cheered him on.
“Okay, that’s it champ! Excellent! A little more than that,” said one of Pele’s side, jokingly sticking his tongue out as if he was exhausted.
The 80-year-old attached Pele to a message saying: “My friends, I am sending this video that my wife made today in order to share my joy with you.”
“I am surrounded by passion and encouragement that makes me feel a little better every day. By cycling, in this way, I will soon be back in Santos,” he added, in Sao Paulo, where his home is.
He remained in the intensive care unit until the 14th of it, before he was transferred to a normal room, but he returned briefly to the intensive care unit last Friday, as a “precautionary measure” due to a minor respiratory disorder.

Pele’s health has deteriorated in recent years, and he has been hospitalized several times, most recently in April 2019, in Paris, due to an acute urinary tract infection, and upon his return to Brazil, kidney stones were removed.
