A 60-year-old vice president shares his team’s loss

The Vice President of Suriname, Ronnie Brunsvik, made history as the oldest player to ever play in official matches.

The 60-year-old Brunswick, president of Inter Muengo, participated in his team’s match in the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) against Olympia of Honduras, which the team lost 6 goals to zero at home.

Brunswick took the captaincy of the team and participated for 54 minutes to participate in this heavy defeat, which undoubtedly became the most surprising football surprise in the world, not for the result, of course, but because Brunswick is an old vice president and not just a club owner, but participates in playing with his team.

There is still a second leg to be played next Wednesday, but it is unlikely that Brunswick will play, perhaps allowing his son Damien to be captain next time, with the striker also starting the first leg.
